How to Get Your Token

  1. Make sure your 9771 registration is approved (you received a confirmation SMS).
  2. Text TOK to 9771 from your registered SIM.
  3. You'll receive an SMS with your token code, the litre quantity, and its validity period.
  4. Show the code at any participating petrol pump — the Rs. 100/L discount applies to the token's litres.

Token Types & Quotas

  • Bikes/rickshaws: weekly Rs. 500 tokens covering 5 litres each (up to 20L/month).
  • 800cc cars: Rs. 1,000 token covering 10 litres, issued every 10 days (up to 30L/month).

Token Validity

Each token SMS states its own validity window — always check the SMS itself rather than assuming. Tokens are meant for near-term use; don't stockpile them.

At the Pump: Step-by-Step

  1. Tell the attendant you're paying with a 9771 fuel token before fuelling.
  2. Share the token code from your SMS (or show the message).
  3. The attendant verifies it against the Fuel Pass System — this works offline via SMS, so no internet is needed.
  4. Fuel up to the token's litres at the subsidized rate; anything beyond is billed at the regular notified price.

Token Not Received? Troubleshooting

  • No reply to TOK: confirm your registration was approved first; check you're texting from the registered SIM.
  • Quota exhausted: you've used this period's litres — wait for the next cycle (weekly for bikes, 10-day for cars).
  • Pump rejects the token: the station may not be participating — try another, or file a complaint.
  • Wrong token amount: verify your vehicle class in the confirmation SMS.
